Original Authorship Certification

Prove first publication and authorship with a certified, timestamped copy (EU by default; international option available)

Original Authorship Certification

If you need to prove first publication and authorship of a digital work—text, code, design, artwork, photo, video, audio, dataset or documentation—we can certify your materials with full legal value.

We perform a forensic acquisition of the original sources (website, blog, portfolio, marketplace, cloud share, repository such as GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), preserving URLs, visible content, upload/commit timestamps, source code, linked files and technical metadata (e.g., EXIF/IPTC for images, container metadata for video/audio, commit hashes and tags for code). We then issue a Certified Copy with digital signature and qualified EU timestamp. By default, the certification is valid across the European Union; on request we can apply an international timestamp suitable for recognition worldwide.

When private areas must be accessed, we operate under a digital legal mandate signed by the client, protecting both your rights and our access. All procedures are GDPR-compliant and handled with strict confidentiality. The delivered report (English; other languages on request) is lawyer-ready and can include an optional forensic comparison against an alleged copy to highlight priority and originality.

  • Forensic capture of source locations with URLs, timestamps and metadata
  • Acquisition of original files; optional SHA-256 hash attestation
  • Certified Copy with digital signature + qualified EU timestamp (international on request)
  • Optional: capture video of the acquisition, version/timeline annexes, comparative analysis vs. suspected copies

Why is it important to certify original authorship?

1) Priority is everything: establishing the earliest verifiable publication or creation helps prevent disputes and strengthens copyright claims, licensing, and takedown actions.

2) Screenshots are easily challenged: they don’t preserve metadata, commit history or file integrity. A Certified Copy with a qualified timestamp proves what existed, where and when, in a tamper-evident way.

When relevant, we can add a forensic comparison between your work and an alleged copy (timestamps, metadata, hashes, deltas) to document priority and originality.
