Why certify Google Location History?

Why device shipping is required now
For legal and technical reasons, remote certification is no longer feasible for Google Location History. To ensure a correct, forensically sound acquisition, the device must be physically handled in our laboratory. This allows:

What the Certified Copy includes
- The complete Location History available on the device (not just selected days).
- Coordinates, timestamps, accuracy values and related metadata.
- A digitally signed container (.p7m/.tsd) with qualified EU timestamp.
- A technical report (English; other languages on request) ready for your lawyer.
Your lawyer can then reference specific days or paths inside the certified package; any screenshots used in pleadings are backed by our Certified Copy.
When you can’t ship the device: a remote alternative
If device shipping is impossible (e.g., different country, urgent timelines), we offer a remote approach based on FollowMee (Android & iOS):
- We access the official FollowMee portal under your written authorization (viewer/temporary credentials).
- We export CSV/GPX/KML, compute SHA-256 hashes, apply qualified EU timestamp, and document chain of custody in a lawyer-ready report.

Can you certify just one day?
No. The certification covers the entire history available on the device. Your lawyer can still cite individual days using extracts that refer back to the Certified Copy.
How is delivery made?
Via secure cloud link to a digitally signed package (.p7m/.tsd) and the technical report. Availability window: 3 months. You should download and archive locally.
Is the certification valid outside the EU?
By default it’s EU-wide. On request we can apply an international timestamp suitable for recognition in jurisdictions worldwide.
What if I can’t ship my phone from abroad?
